Last month, Pharrell Williams launched his first ever perfume for Louis Vuitton under the name "LVERS" . Designed in collaboration with master perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud , this fragrance embodies Pharrell Williams ' philosophy: "What will you do when the sun shines on you?" Today, Louis Vuitton unveils the official perfume campaign, a visual interpretation of the designer's ideology.
Inspired by light and photosynthesis, “LVERS” captures natural ingredients in a solar composition. Escaping the boundaries of genres, it offers a neutral fragrance with woody notes of cedar and sandalwood, enriched with ginger and bergamot extract. Its secret ingredient, galbanum, an Iranian gum resin, enhances the perfume's herbal aroma.
Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud explains: "The theme of light during Pharrell 's exhibition on the Pont Neuf in June 2023 inspired us to translate the notion of photosynthesis into an olfactory experience. This may seem abstract, but photosynthesis is the basis of all forms of life."
Available online and in Louis Vuitton boutiques, Pharrell 's "LVERS" perfume is priced at $320 .
