We're still a few months away from the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, but brands are already preparing for a busy July. In anticipation of this long-awaited international sporting event, Jordan Brand has planned a few releases to mark the occasion. We've already gotten a look at the Olympic-themed Air Jordan 38 Low and the return of the Air Jordan 6 "Olympic." Now, a new pair of Air Jordan 4 “Paris Olympics” is showing up.
Presented in an all-grey finish, this version of the Air Jordan 4 will remind sneakerheads of one of the most sought-after collaborations of the 2010s — the KAWS x Air Jordan 4. Although this version does not feature the distinctive "XX Air" on the heel nor other references to the artist, its suede and nubuck construction nevertheless recalls the legendary gray pair. Different shades of gray adorn the sneaker, while its wings and heel feature white flashes. Traditional Jumpman branding adorns the tongue label and heel, while the all-gray sole is equipped with a visible Air unit at the heel.
A Thrilling Wait
As of today, Jordan Brand has not confirmed any details regarding the release of this "Paris Olympics" edition of the Air Jordan 4, so sneaker fans will need to stay tuned for updates, including a full visual review, as we expect the new colorway to hit shelves starting July 27th via Nike SNKRS and select retailers for $225 USD.
A nod to history
The subtle reference to the KAWS x Air Jordan 4 collaboration will no doubt add an extra layer of intrigue for those who have followed the evolution of Jordan Brand's collaborations. Although this new version is not a direct collaboration, its careful design and high-quality finishes are sure to please purists and new fans alike.
