JJJJound , this prodigy of minimalism who comes straight from Montreal, and Salomon, the French titan of sport, have thrown themselves into the arena for an unprecedented collaboration. For the first time, these two heavyweights of street culture have decided to team up and we are really excited.
Their first joint work? Nothing less than the XT-Wings 2, a trail pair that appeared in 2011. We all remember its thick midsole (yes, yes, the same as on the original XT-4) and its upper bold that had us all amazed. Well, they managed to make it even cooler by transforming it into a chic and subtle lifestyle silhouette. This is pure JJJJound, folks.
For the moment, we have only been treated to one small image of this collaborative baby on their Instagram. But even with so little, we can already make out some eye-catching details: an eye-catching JJJJound logo on the medial heel and a striking color combination with sail and bone tones, enhanced by accents of blue sporty.
We know that the XT-Wings 2 did not have the same success as the XT-6 or the ACS Pro Advanced, but it could well see its popularity rise thanks to its new link with JJJJound. And between us, it wouldn't be surprising if this release triggered an avalanche of new versions of XT-Wings 2. You know the drill: a big collab, a few burst releases, and that's how you boost a silhouette. Salomon has already done it with Sandy Liang and the XT-6 Expanse, so why not with the XT-Wings 2?
For the moment, we do not yet have a release date or information on the price of the JJJJound x Salomon XT-Wings 2. But stay tuned, we will keep you informed as soon as we know more about this co-created sneaker that is already shaping up to be a future classic.
