Luka Dončić is coming off another incredible NBA season with the Dallas Mavericks, posting a league-high 33.9 points per game while leading his team to a 5th place finish in the hotly contested Western Conference. He is now set to face Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round, which begins on April 21. In the meantime, Dončić and Jordan Brand introduce the Jordan Luka 3, their latest collaborative signature shoe.
Building on the success of the Jordan Luka 2, officially unveiled last June, the Luka 3 evolves with its signature Isoplate — making it wider at the lateral outrigger and lighter. Its sole also uses full-length Cushlon 3.0 foam as a midsole, which focuses on "acceleration out of speed transitions", providing balance to lateral and diagonal movements. As for its design, it references Dončić's love of sports cars, as evidenced by subtle details such as its traction inspired by racing tires and the wavy ridges on the top which take inspiration from the flow at great speed. Each colorway of the new model achieves Level 2 sustainability, indicating that each shoe contains at least 20% recycled materials by weight.
The Jordan Luka 3 release begins on July 5 in Europe, where the “Midnight Racer” pair will be available in stores via Nike and select retailers. Subsequently, the “Photo Finish” colorway will be launched globally on July 16. Keep an eye out for Dončić who might be wearing his new signature shoe this post-season and stay tuned for news on other colorways.
