After revealing the dates of his American tour UTOPIA – Circus Maximus, Travis Scott, the rapper from Houston, surprises us once again by lifting the veil on his latest collaboration with Nike: the Sharkidon “Mocha”. Unveiled on Instagram, this new pair of shoes promises to revolutionize the world of sneakers.
A New Design with Multiple Facets
The Travis Scott x Nike Sharkidon “Mocha” stands out for its complexity and richness in terms of materials and textures. The model features a sail hemp construction for the upper and toe box, which pairs perfectly with thick laces and a foam tongue. Added to this are smooth leather overlays on the sides and Nike's iconic Swooshes. As with its previous Jordan Cut the Check model, a tight-knit leather and canvas strap adorns the center of the foot.
Details that Make the Difference
One of the most striking elements of this collaboration is the Cactus Jack branding, cleverly offset on the side of the tongue. The midsole, meanwhile, seems to be inspired by the Nike Zoom Spiridon, bringing a retro touch to the design. The “Mocha” colorway is enhanced by touches of the same shade on the lining and swoosh, as well as creamy laces and trims.
