Art Basel Paris, that’s a name that sounds good, right? No more Paris+, welcome to Art Basel Paris. Honestly, it was a no-brainer. We all wondered why they didn't choose that name from the start. It's clear, crisp and precise, and it aligns perfectly with other Art Basel events in Basel, Hong Kong and Miami Beach.
The name change isn't the only big news. The fair will also move to the Grand Palais, which means 26% more space for brands and galleries. Clément Delépine, the director of the event, said it well: “Art Basel as a global brand could serve the city of Paris even better.” And frankly, who could argue with that? Paris deserves this attention and recognition.
This year, Art Basel Paris will welcome 194 galleries, including 51 new ones. It promises impressive diversity and artistic richness. If you are in Paris between October 18 and 20, 2024, don't miss this event. The Grand Palais, with its emblematic architecture, will add an even more magical dimension to this already prestigious fair.
For me, this change is more than welcome. Paris deserves to be highlighted on the global art scene, and Art Basel Paris is a step in that direction. So, whether you are art lovers, collectors or simply curious, come to Art Basel Paris. I'm sure it will be one of the most exciting events of the year.
