Capek, whose real first name is unknown to the general public, is a young 24-year-old photographer who has been immortalizing the world under the pseudonym Capek for five years. Adopted by Grenoble, he was captivated by the charm of this student city, a vibrant cultural center nestled in the heart of the mountains. It was in Grenoble that his first photos were taken, and since then, he has invested himself body and soul in the local artistic scene, in full effervescence in the visual and musical fields.

Fashion photography is his favorite field. Capek stages universes where textiles become the beating heart of the image. For him, the subject photographed must dominate its environment, impose its presence there. This vision is translated by the exclusive use of a fisheye, a bold technical choice that allows an immersive proximity with the subject while integrating a multitude of elements in each frame.

"I want the subject to dominate his environment, to be master of it," he says passionately.

Capek's journey began with photos of his group of friends, each with a strong personality and unique gestures that he found visually fascinating. He maintains this element of presence and singularity in his current work. Each model must emanate a strong presence, be the central element of the photo. Capek favors an instinctive approach to photography, far from technical rigors. "I leave a lot of room for improvisation, both during the shoot and during retouching," he confides. Preparing the locations, outfits, and models is part of his process, but he does not hesitate to change his mind at the last minute to adapt to the moment.

His visual style draws on multiple influences. Skate videos and fashion magazines have shaped his approach to color and retouching. Today, he also draws inspiration from street photographers and photojournalists, admiring their sense of composition and their management of light. Capek sees photography as a mix of improvisation and planning, where each image tells a unique story, imbued with a strong visual identity.

His commitment to the Grenoble art scene is palpable. Capek is an artist of his time, a young man who, through his lens, immortalizes moments, people, and places with raw authenticity and boundless creativity.
