Kasaito, 26, a photographer and art director, exudes a unique aura.
Originally from Courbevoie, he invites us to discover his world where painting, music and photography blend to create a captivating visual symphony.
From his first steps, Kasaito was immersed in an artistic bath thanks to his mother, who was passionate about painting. Parisian museums became his playground, where the paintings of masters such as Cézanne, Chagall, Manet or Monet nourished his nascent imagination.
"I remember marveling for the first time at Marc Chagall's 'The Bride and Groom at the Eiffel Tower', exhibited at the Beaubourg Museum in Paris," he recalls.
Artists like Scred Connexion, A$AP Rocky, The Notorious BIG, L'Entourage and Eminem have built his music. But it was at 17 that his life took a decisive turn with the meeting of Mano Leyra, a local artist.
This artistic friendship would propel Kasaito behind the scenes of musical creation. "We needed clips, covers... We didn't have a budget, so we were going to do everything ourselves," he says. This is how, driven by necessity and guided by his curiosity, he turned to YouTube to learn the art of photography.
The self-taught person in the digital age
Armed with online tutorials and unwavering determination, Kasaito immersed himself in learning shooting and editing techniques. This self-taught training, far from academic paths, allowed him to develop a unique and personal approach to photography.
“My photographic style is the result of all this: a mixture of surrealism, urban poetry and nostalgia,” he explains.
We find the influence of his first pictorial loves, fused with the raw energy of hip-hop and filtered through the prism of his sensitivity.
His real field of expression is post-production, where he gives free rein to his creativity. "The main part of my work is in retouching using the Photoshop tool."
But before reaching this crucial stage, Kasaito meticulously prepares his shootings. Whether they are studio or outdoor sessions, every detail is thought out: the concept, the styling, the lighting techniques. This meticulous preparation serves as a framework to then let his creativity express itself during retouching.
It is in the privacy of his room, isolated from the outside world, that the magic truly happens. "I need to isolate myself from the world in order to create my art, the need to find myself in front of his canvas which acts like an artistic mirror."
This phase of solitary creation is for him a moment of intense introspection, where each image becomes a reflection of his inner world.
Although deeply rooted in his personal universe, Kasaito remains open to external influences. He cites photographers such as Elizaveta Porodina, Jack Bridgland and Jeremy Soma, whose unique and original style he admires.
Aware of the importance of standing out in a world saturated with images, Kasaito cultivates his singularity. "It is important to be singular in an artistic environment, which explains why the public follows us on social networks." In a constant flow of visual content, only the most original and personal creations manage to capture the public's attention.
At just 26 years old, Kasaito has already forged a strong and recognizable artistic identity. His journey, from a child amazed by the paintings of masters to today's innovative photographer, demonstrates a passion for art in all its forms.
While his career is just beginning, Kasaito continues to explore the boundaries between reality and imagination, between nostalgia and modernity.
