Louis Vuitton: Fall-Winter Collection PFW24

Louis Vuitton : Collection Automne-Hiver PFW24 - HYTRAPE
After his pre-fall 2024 show in Hong Kong, Pharrell Williams returns with a presentation of his latest collection for Louis Vuitton. The event, marking the start of Paris Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter 2024 season, took place at the Louis Vuitton Foundation.

LVERS: A Blend of Virginie and Paris

Continuing the theme of LVERS, Pharrell raises the bar even further. His first show had already attracted the pop culture elite, and the Hong Kong show stood out with a skyscraper setting and a drone show. Prior to this show, Pharrell previewed the collection on Instagram, revealing western cowboy designs, LVERS monogram cowboy hats, and custom Timbaland boots.

Homage to the American Western Wardrobe

The country and western theme continued on the runway, with Pharrell exploring the roots of the American western wardrobe. The collection highlights craftsmanship and embroidery techniques, highlighting key icons of American western attire. Pharrell pays homage to the craftsmanship typical of this wardrobe, amplifying elements like denim, blanket coats, Buffalo checks and chaps, all rooted in the cowboy aesthetic.

Collaboration with Artists from the Dakota and Lakota Nations

The collection collaborated with artists from the Dakota and Lakota nations for props, staging and the runway soundtrack, led by creative director Dee Jay Two Bears of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. They also collaborated on a Speedy bag, a messenger bag and a travel tote bag, embroidered with Dakota flower symbols.

Timberland with Louis Vuitton Sauce

True to the American workmanship aesthetic, the collaboration with Timberland reinterpreted the iconic work boots through the creative lens of Louis Vuitton. From cowboy hats to leather caps and gloves adorned with buckles and gems, the collection was complemented by performances by Native Voices of Resistance.

Unique Soundtrack

Pharrell also contributed to the show's unique soundtrack with original tracks such as "The Spirit of Saturday Night Live" by Native Voices of Resistance x Pharrell Williams, "Good People" by Mumford & Suns and Pharrell, as well as "Shotgun Wedding” by Pharrell and Jelly Roll, and “Doctor” by Pharrell and Miley Cyrus.
