TIF is a rapper and singer whose Deezer page presents him as originally from Algiers and whose career takes place in France. He became known with “3iniya” (July 2019), founded the HSH label in early 2021, then released Houma Sweet Houma (May 27, 2022), 1.6 (March 10, 2023, Gold) and SAVASHUIA (May 22, 2026). That latest album entered the SNEP Top Albums at No. 14. This page sticks to his projects, rankings and public dates, with sources.

TIF in 10 dates

Who is TIF? Origin, languages and style

TIF is written in capitals on streaming platforms, “Tif” in part of the press. Wikipedia says he first released music under the alias Mister Tif. To avoid confusion with the other meanings of the word “tif”, we follow Deezer page no. 9430902, the same one referenced by Wikidata and MusicBrainz.

The phrase “Algerian rap in France” calls for caution. In an interview with Pan African Music on March 10, 2023, TIF says he had been in France for seven years and explains his choice: “I really wanted to come to France and do rap” (our translation). He mentions Algiers, whose number 16 gives 1.6 its title. He says he raps in French, with frequent use of verlan and slang, and knows that many listeners in Algeria do not understand what he says. He does not rule out making tracks in Arabic. The Oslo World and Tromsø World presentations describe him as a rapper and singer in French and in Arabic. Mouv’ and Time Out call him an Algerian rapper, Wikipedia an artist active in France, Jazzablanca an artist based in France. We repeat these wordings without going further.

On sound, Pan African Music notes percussion and instruments that recall raï and the popular music of the Maghreb. Time Out Paris describes 1.6 as a mix of rap in French, chaâbi rhythms, Andalusian guitars and synthetic touches. For the live shows, Mouv’ mentions a percussionist, a guitarist and a keyboard player.

Career: from the single “3iniya” to the HSH label

The single “3iniya” (“my eyes”) came out on July 6, 2019 according to Deezer, which dates the success of this first track to 2019. Pan African Music and festival presentations say 2020 instead. In early 2021, TIF founded the HSH label with his managers; the name means “my sweet neighborhood”, “houma” being the Arabic word for neighborhood (Pan African Music).

He then released Houma Sweet Houma (May 27, 2022), followed by 1.6 (March 10, 2023). According to him, the title 1.6 refers to the version of Counter-Strike he played when younger and to Algiers’ number 16. A documentary, On The Corner, traces his path: the Deezer page credits it to Samir Bouadla, for the media outlet YARD.

The format varies by source. The SNEP lists 1.6 among albums; Pan African Music and Jazzablanca say EP for the first two projects. We therefore name the source for each format.

SNEP rankings and certifications

SAVASHUIA entered the SNEP Top Albums at No. 14 for the week of May 22 to 28, 2026. It moved to No. 28 the following week; No. 14 remains its best position. The certifications below come from the SNEP database checked on October 23, 2026, with the date the certification was recorded.

The Deezer catalog credits TIF alongside Younès on “Harraga” (September 2, 2022), which Booska-P describes as the story of an Algerian emigrant trying to reach Europe by boat. It then lists “S12” with Flenn (March 9, 2023), “Tango Hawaï” with Kekra and Shades (December 22, 2023), “La nuit” with PLK (January 17, 2024), “Noum” with Zamdane (February 2024), “Tant pis” with Rim’K and Sofiane Pamart (February 29, 2024), “No Way” with Vacra (December 19, 2024), “Hélas” with SDM (February 12, 2025) and “kafini” with ElGrandeToto (July 29, 2025).

Since SAVASHUIA: where things stand on October 23, 2026

“MINUIT D’APRÈS” (April 10, 2026) and “L’EXIL C’EST MÉCHANT” (May 15, 2026) came out as singles before the album and are among its 14 tracks. The single “PEACE & LOVE” (October 7, 2026) is the most recent release on the Deezer page. We found no other announced project.
