The Geneva beatmaker $CO, in collaboration with the artists Aamo and Moe damour, presents their new music video: "De l'Autre Côté". This highly anticipated clip will be available on YouTube on January 19 at 5 p.m.
$CO, a passionate beatmaker from Geneva, was introduced to music at a very young age. Influenced by icons such as P. Diddy, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, but also Mary J. Blige and Amy Winehouse, his passion for music was cultivated from his childhood. Having taken music theory and piano lessons, $CO found a refuge in music to channel his energy, particularly due to his diagnosis of ADHD. Writing became a way for him to express his emotions.
The COVID-19 pandemic was a turning point for $CO. Stuck in Geneva, he used this time to tirelessly create music with his childhood best friend, Aamo. This successful collaboration led to the creation of several projects on Soundcloud, attracting public attention. Inspired by their success, they formed the NGC 1976 collective, sharing a common vision.
As the collective's lead beatmaker, $CO was inspired by American and Spanish rap, as well as the supertrap wave. After the success of their project “It’s for the Bad Guys” vol.1 in June 2023, “De l’Autre Côté” marks the start of $CO’s second opus.
The single features Aamo and Moe d'amour, whose hard-hitting flows and colorful punchlines blend perfectly with $CO's aggressive trap production. The music video, directed by @metanoia.tv, offers a dark and macabre atmosphere, with shades of vermillion and black and white shots, adding an extra dimension to the song.
